Housing Alliance Lobby Day!

Lobby Day is this Friday, March 13th!
Please join us in Salem this Friday.

Why come to Salem? Because we haven't finished yet!

First, we need to to thank our legislators for their hard work in support of housing opportunity.

Second, we need to remind them that there's still more to do for affordable housing. This is shaping up to be a terrible budget year, but we need more housing funds allocated to preserve existing rent subsidized housing, support resident purchases of manufactured home parks, and fund core programs of Housing and Community Services.

And, we need the Document Recording Fee Revenue to help build new housing, end homelessness, and create homeownership opportunities.

  • 10AM to 11AM -- Visits from Legislative leadership, legislative update, and briefing by Housing Alliance leaders
  • Scheduled appointments with your Representatives and Senators -- these happen all day starting at 10 am -- so check in right away when you arrive at the Capital!

  • Cake and Coffee will be served from 11:30 to 1:30 in the Galleria, for legislators, staff, and the public
  • An Affordable Housing Showcase in the Galleria -- 10AM to 2:30PM. Let us know if you have display materials you'd like featured!

Transportation on the BUS: (bus is not wheelchair-accessible)

The bus will leave from in front of the Neighborhood Partnership Fund office, 1020 SW Taylor. You can gather in the Lobby. We're very close to the Max and the streetcar, just across from the Main Library. The bus will leave at 8:15AM.

The bus will stop at the old Carrows parking lot in Tigard -- 10935 SW 69th -- near the intersection of 99W and I-5. The bus will leave Tigard at 8:45.

Please be prompt! We will not be able to wait!

The bus will leave Salem at 3:00PM, and will make the same two stops at the end of the day -- Tigard by 4:15 pm and downtown Portland by 4:45. There will be a few cars leaving Salem after 3 pm that can transport the few folks who have late appointments.

Don't forget!
