House Bill 3551: Document Recording Fee
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our bill (HB 3551) has been referred to the Joint Ways and Means Committee, Subcommittee on Transportation and Economic Development.
We have been scheduled for WEDNESDAY MAY 16 and THURSDAY MAY 17 for hearings in the Transportation & Economic Development Subcommittee of Ways and Means. The hearings will start at 1 pm and last until 2:30 or 3:00. They are in Room H-174 (to the right of the elevators at the end of the hall on the House side).
We remain very optimistic about our bill. We have great support from both Democrats and Republicans in both chambers. We just need to reminder legislators of the REAL NEEDS in our communities.
Please come if you can to show support. We have prepared a panel of speakers representing our constituencies and making our best case. If you do come to watch the hearing, please also be sure to pop in to your Senator or Representative's office to express your support for the bill.
If you can't come to Salem in person, please make your voice heard by e-mailing your Representative or Senator, especially if they serve on the full Ways and Means Committee or the Subcommittee (see lists below).
