Oregon families need affordable homes NOW
With federal budget cuts looming and reduced state spending on homelessness prevention, Oregon must act decisively to protect thousands of families from displacement.
The solution is clear: Use Oregon’s bond capacity to build and preserve affordable housing across our state. Two critical bond measures – SB 5505 (General Obligation bonds) and SB 5531 (Lottery bonds) – can be used by the legislature to invest in:
- ๐๏ธ Building thousands of new affordable homes for renters and first-time homebuyers
- ๐ Preserving thousands of existing affordable homes at risk of conversion to market rate
- ๐ ๏ธ Creating jobs and economic development in communities statewide
Send a letter now to Oregon’s legislative leaders demanding they prioritize bonds for affordable housing!
